About me

Here I write about myself, who I am, how I came to the Mac and what else I like to do.

I came to the Mac in 1994 more by chance than anything else. Always interested in technology, I finally wanted to own a computer and immediately decided on a Mac.

After that, things happened quickly: in addition to normal peripherals like a printer, I bought a modem for my first Powerbook so that I could log into a mailbox system first. FirstClass and the Magic Village were my first online experiences, before I also entered the big wide WorldWideWeb or Internet just a few weeks later with snafu, a Berlin provider.

At the end of 1997, snafu itself asked me to join them. Here I was to gain even more experience, with a focus on Mac, Internet & networking.

From the end of 2000, I started working for Apple myself, first on the side in promotion activities, later also for larger projects in the DACH area (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), until I was finally on the road in the EMEIA area (Europe, Middle East, India & Africa) as an installation engineer setting up shop-in-shop systems for Apple from 2007.
